Biographical/Administrative Information:Henry Cohen, 1st Baron Cohen of Birkenhead (1900-77), studied Medicine at the University of Liverpool (MBChB 1922, MD 1924) and was Professor of Medicine, 1934-65. Knighted in 1949 and created a Baron in 1956, he received numerous honours in recognition of his great contributions to the nation.
