Biographical/Administrative Information: | Professor Edgar Allison Peers, 1891-1952, Lecturer in Charge, Department of Spanish and Assistant in Department of French; Gilmour Professor of Spanish 1922-1952.Though undated, it is thought that the photographs probably date from the late 1940s. In the University's Annual Report, November 1947, [Professor E. Allison Peers] records that after an interval of eleven years the University of Liverpool Summer School of Spanish returned this summer to San Sebastián, with a record enrolment... This was the Summer School's twenty-second year (p.38). Though probably taken by a commercial photographer, the name of the photographer is not given on the photographs. |
