| Summary: | The annual reports usually contain a report from Maria Rye on the previous year, or in her absence by the Committee (later renamed Council) with brief biographical sketches of the children (identified by their initials only) admitted into the Home and details about their `placing out'. They also include extracts from letters received from children and supporters of her work; lists of annual subscriptions and donations received and a balance sheet of the accounts. From the late 1870s onward they also include an engraving of the Western Home. |
