Summary:The correspondence covers the period from Blanco White's first encounter with Lord Holland and his family in Spain in 1809, until his death in Liverpool in 1840. Letters regarding his various publications including Letters from Spain , Spain, Practical and Internal Evidences against Catholicism and The Poor Man's Preservative against Popery addressed to the lower classes of Great Britain and Ireland. Correspondence from colleagues at Oriel College, Oxford regarding religion, politics, College affairs and publications. This section also includes a few family letters from Blanco White's brother Ferdinand White. At the end of the section there are a collection of letters to Reverend Hamilton Thom dating from 1841 and concerning Blanco White's death.
