Summary:

Weston says he had some time ago tried to persuade EFR to attend the Easter science fiction convention at Worcester; now he has the opportunity to edit a series of anthologies, under the title Andromeda, for Orbit Books and asks whether EFR might contribute; later, he reports that he is editing a collection called The Best of Eric Frank Russell for Futura Publications and Sidgwick & Jackson, and asks whether EFR would write an introduction; he includes a copy of the typescript for the title and contents pages, and his own introduction to the book; Weston has to explain to EFR that he is a fan who is simply in a position to advise publishers, and that he will not be receiving payment for his work on editing the collection; however, it appears that the deal with Futura falls through; Weston encloses a courtesy copy of a letter he has sent to Judy-Lynn Del Rey of Ballantine Books concerning the collection project; he explains that his attempt to find a publisher has been complicated by the involvement of Coronet and of Dennis Dobson, and he apologizes for the embarrassment he has apparently caused by approaching Ballantine.
