Summary:

Manuscript and typescript letters. Harbottle writes on behalf of Mike Ashley, who has been commisioned by Futura Publications to put together two anthologies, and who would like to include EFR's short stories Mr Wisel's Secret, Shadow Man, Sole Solution, Take a Seat and Love Story; Harbottle reports that New English Library would like to purchase the British hardcover and paperbound rights to EFR's novelette Seeker of Tomorrow; he asks EFR for recollections of John Russell Fearn, as he is researching a bio-bibliography (and has discovered that Fearn had once used the pseudonym Frank Russell); EFR evidently turns down the request for Seeker of Tomorrow, because of his attitude to the re-anthologizing of stories, and therefore Harbottle requests permission for The Pr-ee-eet and I Spy; Harbottle later reports that I Spy will be included in the anthology The Best of British SF, and Seeker of Tomorrow in History of the SF Magazine: Part 2; a photocopy of a letter from EFR states that he is anxious to settle the matter of authorship of Seeker of Tomorrow with Les Johnson; Harbottle responds to EFR's criticisms of Mike Ashley's proposed introductory article to Seeker of Tomorrow; he reports that he has had offers for an American edition of History of the SF Magazines from Henry Regnery, and offers for the Spanish and Italian language rights; Harbottle also reports that an Italian publisher, Libra Editrice, would like to publish EFR's novel Sinister Barrier.
