Biographical/Administrative Information:"In a letter from Vivian to Walter Gillings of Cosmos Literary Agency dated 2 October 1970, Vivian wrote about the tapes between Wyndham and himself.I have many tapes of Jack's voice, but all are private correspondence. We spoke to each other on tape every week for many years for not less than half an hour, usually three quarters. He discussed all his work and plans with me and I made suggestions which he quite rightly ignored. Latterly we spoke on cassette tapes because when he had his Coronary and was in bed I couldn't bear to be out of touch with him. But his last tape is in my desk now as I write. This was on a small reel at 1 7/8 and I was listening to it over my breakfast when the news came on the telephone that he was dead. I have never been able to play it since." (Wyndham 13/2/5)
