Summary:Papers re death and funeral contains correspondence, newscuttings and other papers relating to the death and funeral of John Sampson in November 1931. The section includes letters to Dora E. Yates from various friends and colleagues of Sampson on hearing news of his death, in particular letters from some gypsys the "Rai" had befriended and studied during his life. The section also includes material relating to the rather unusual ceremony held on the mountainside of Joel Goch, Llangwm, Wales for the scattering of his ashes and correspondence from individuals who had been invited to attend and newspaper reports recording the event.
