| Biographical/Administrative Information: | Richard ('Dick') Wade was born in 1926 in south Lincolnshire. Initially practising as a lawyer, he became a writer, painter and broadcaster, with a strong interest in Romani language and culture. He was a member of the Gypsy Lore Society and was assistant editor of this society's journal.George Henry Sherriff, known as Henry Sherriff, was an English Romani from the Midlands. He claimed to be the last living speaker of the language puri chib. |
