Biographical/Administrative Information:Bibliographic Sources: According to the inscription shown in Peet 4/3/3the Corporation built the Almshouses in Arrad Street, Liverpool, in exchange for and to take the place of a number of similar houses situated in Shaw's Brow, Hanover Street and Old Haymarket. The former houses were in confined places but removed altogether to this healthy situation for the benefit of the inhabitants and the accommodation of the public. The patronage being secured to the original Trustees.
