Mr., later Associate Professor, J. Glyn Davies (M.A. ex officio Liverpool 1911; on the University's staff 1907-36, as successively Assistant Lecturer, Lecturer, and Senior Lecturer in Welsh) Mr. Glyn Davies is noted in a register of graduates of the University as having died ?1954 although no reference to his death is made in the relevant sections of the University's Annual Report of the years around this date. A cutting from the Liverpool Echo, 12 Nov. 1953, in a volume of University Press Cuttings 1953-54 (p.303) reports the death of Professor Glyn Davies at his North Wales homes, Northfield, Llanfairfechan.
