Summary: | Important 17th century manuscript collections compiled circa 1630-50, including: "A generall Collection of all the Offices in England with their fees in her Majesty's gift"; a transcript of Thomas Greene's "Liber Feodorum Militum" compiled in the 4th year of the Reign of Elizabeth I listing the landowners in Cheshire with the date of the original grant; transcripts relating to the Barony of Halton from the time of William the Conqueror, including a list of the towns and holders of land within the Barony, together with a transcript of the Charter of Edward I granting the Barony, and pedigrees and coats of arms in trick of families relating to Halton.
