Jackson also gives the names of other Johnsonian collectors he knows in the States : Professor Tinker of Yale and A Edward Nerston [?] of Philadelphia. Enclosed within this letter is a small library insignia, entitled ‘Ex Libris Stuart W Jackson’. Jackson mentions in his letter his growing library, which is composed primarily of writings of Johnson and first editions of Boswell. A cheque was originally enclosed with this letter. |
