| Biographical/Administrative Information: | The Mary Kingsley Medal was first awarded in 1905. The Medal was struck in commemoration of the work of Mary Kingsley, the explorer and writer who travelled extensively in West Africa and the ideas of whom were influential in the foundation of the School. |
