/3 Bundle of correspondence relating to the death of James Thomson (1834-1882), dated from 10 Feb 1881 to 3 Jul 1888. Correspondents include Bertram Dobell (1842-1914), Percy Holyoake, William Maccall (1812-1888), and Joseph Mazzini Wheeler (1850-1898). (5 pieces)

/4 Bundle of newspaper cuttings relating the death of James Thomson (1834-1882) and reviews of subsequent biographies of his life written by Bertram Dobell (1842-1914) and Henry Stephens Salt (1851-1939). The cuttings are dated from 6 Jun 1882 to [189-?]. Also included are two In Memorium cards for James Thomson. (10 pieces)

/5 Bundle containing a letter from an unidentified correspondent to one of the two sons of John Fraser (1836-1902), dated 3 Jun 1932, with enclosed typewritten extracts of correspondence from James Thomson (1834-1882) to John Fraser (1836-1902), Bertram Dobell (1842-1914), and William Maccall (1812-1888), and from William Maccall to John Fraser (1836-1902). The enclosed correspondence is dated from 1 Jun 1875 to 11 Feb 1881. Also includes a handwritten list of James Thomson's works, and newspaper cuttings, dated 20 Mar 1932 and 2 Apr 1932, respectively, announcing a reprint of Thomson's 'City of Dreadful Night'.
