Biographical/Administrative Information:	The Public Orator is appointed by the Council on the recommendation of the Senate. The Public Orator is appointed for a period of four years and shall not be eligible for immediate re-appointment on the conclusion of their term of office. It is the duty of the Public Orator to present candidates for admission to Honorary degrees.
