The Terms of Reference of the Information Systems Strategy Group are to advise the Planning and Resources Committee and other committees and budget centres as appropriate in the development and monitoring of a comprehensive information systems strategy for the University which will:

1. optimise the benefits to be gained from the University's considerable investment in Computing and Information Technology;

2. integrate, as far as possible, the many information system initiatives taking place in academic and non-academic areas of the University;

3. take account of technological advances;

4. take account of developments in teaching;

5. ensure the most efficient means of transmitting information supporting the teaching, research and administrative functions of the University.
