This section contains correspondence relating to various trips and excursions which Rideout either helped to organise or was part off. The trips were made with various local history societies including:

• The Historical Association (Central and North Lancashire Branch)
• Cheshire Society of Natural Science, Literature and Art
• Historic Society of Lancashire and Cheshire

The material includes printed itineraries and notes on the excursions such as main sights and historical background. The excursions are all day trips in the North West to locations such as Poulton-le-Fylde, Preston, North Wales and the Wirral. There are some pencil notes made by Rideout concerning Poulton which look like notes made for a talk he was to give on the area.

The section contains official society correspondence concerning the hire of coaches which appears to have been Rideout's responsibility and other administrative details regarding the trips.
