Biographical/Administrative Information:In 1904 the Principal of the New Vetinary College, Edinburgh, Mr. W. Owen Williams, moved, together with some of his students, to the University of Liverpool, to form the School of Vetinary Medicine and Surgery (in the Faculty of Medicine). Upon further investigation at Edinburgh City Library, it was ascertained that the New Veterinary College was at No.41 Elm Row, Leith Walk to the premises is nowadays (2003) no longer open, the rear of the building's two storey block of former loose boxes etc. and (on the first floor) laboratories and toilets can still be seen from behind Montgomery Street
