Biographical/Administrative Information:This Scholarship was established in 1913 by H.M. Commissioners of the 1851 Exhibition and was open to all architectural students under the age of 30 years. It was awarded upon the results of competitive tests held annually, the winners being required to spend two years in study under the direction of the British School at Rome. Since its foundation students of the Liverpool School of Architecture were amongst those selected for the final Test, and on several occasions (1913, 1920, 1922, 1925, 1930, etc.) won the Scholarship.
