These newsletters principally provide the following information in various sections:

Introductory letter on events of the year (noc.[3]-5); a business section reporting on past and forthcoming annual meetings and lunches, Association membership numbers, and student registration (nos.[3]-5); news sections providing examination results, staff appointments, alterations to the School, staff news, visitors to the School, report on Dental Student's Society etc. (nos [3]-5); news from correspondents (who report on news received from graduates for their particular year of graduation) (nos [3] - issue for 1984); list of members (no.[3]); minutes of past and agenda for forthcoming Annual Meetings (nos.6 - issue for 1984); profiles of the President (usually accompanied by a photographic portrait) (nos.6 - issue for 1984); and reports on staff/student activities and on the Dental Student's Society (nos.6 - issue for 1984)

In addition there are the occasional article, for instance a report on a visit abroad, and the appreciation of Professor H. H. Stones by Professor F. E. Lawton and Professor Stones' review of changes in the Dental School and Hospital 1935-1957, both published in the Fifth Alumni Newsletter, 1957

The principal contents of the Newsletter from that published in 1985 onwards comprise details of the Reunion Meeting; Notice of AGM and Minutes of the previous AGM; Profile of the Association's President (including photographic portrait); Dental School News; News of Members (arranged by year of entry and covering those that entered 10,20,30,40,50, and 60 years previously, e.g. the Annual Newsletter 2005 including news of those who entered in 1945, 1955, 1965, 1975, 1985, and 1995); and Deaths and Obituaries.
