(2) copies of the particulars submitted by Professor J. Alexander Gunn and by Dr. Louis A. Reid

(3) list of published papers by Mr. Alan Dorward and typescript transcript of extracts from letters commenting on his abilities. The correspondence is principally with those whose advice was sought on the merits of the individuals being considered. (Mr. Alan J. Dorward was appointed to the Chair in 1928 and retired in 1954).
