Printed letter of S. Leigh-Gregson, Slater Court, Castle St., Dec. 1877 regarding the letter (annexed) which he inserted in the [Liverpool] Daily Post 4 Dec. regarding a college for higher education in Liverpool.

Draft Minutes of Proceedings of the Public Meeting at the Town Hall regarding a proposed College for Higher Education 24 May 1878, a copy of the Mayor's notice convening the meeting, and the signatures of the persons present at the same (in several cases giving their addresses).

Draft Minutes of Proceedings of General Committee (appointed at the Town's Meeting, above), 30 May 1878, and letter of Mr. A. Bower, Vauxhall Foundry, to the Mayor tendering his apologies for absence from the same, 29 May.

Summary of information obtained respecting existing Colleges (including Owens College and the Yorkshire College) and including proposals with regard to chairs, their endowment and priority of foundation, a building, and medical students, submitted by the Secretaries to the Sub-Committee on 25 Sept. 1878, and Schedule of Chairs at various colleges (including Owens College and the Yorkshire College) submitted at the same time to this Sub-Committee.
