• (b) Union Wine Taster: lecture on wine making and sampling of wines.
• (c) Guild Ball, 1956, with Sir James Mountford (Vice-Chancellor) as principal guest; includes shots of the President and Lady President of the Guild (Mr Frederick W. Crawford and Miss Heather J.F. Dackers).
• (d) Mirror on Panto, 1956 (scooter race from Prescot to Liverpool, judging of Panto Princess Competition, flour fight between Chemists and Engineers, Panto Office, and gifts to St John Ambulance and the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association).
• (e) Metallurgical Society's Easter Tour, 1956 (visit to a steel works at Sheffield, led by Dr Stanley Kennett).
• (f) Odds and Ends Sphinx Reel: demonstration of the effectiveness of mediaeval weapons (long bow) at 'Wyncote'; motor racing [rally] at Queensferry; 'Outrage': a University Architectural Society exhibition protesting at lowered architectural standards of building in Liverpool since the 2nd World War, held in the ruins of St.Luke's Church, Liverpool, and opened by Mr Ian Nairn [May 1956]
