Comprises printed material as collected by John G. Langley over the course of his life-long interest in the history of the Cunard Steamship Company and its connection to Canada through its original founder, Sir Samuel Cunard.

As one of the largest complimentary resources to the main business papers of the Cunard archive, this collection comprises extensive examples of printed ephemera in the form of menu cards, programmes, passenger lists, accommodation plans and general marketing materials such as brochures and sailing lists. The collection also contains voyage memorabilia and personal papers collected by individuals, including John G. Langley himself, as well as news articles, postcards, photographs and a small selection of audio-visual material.

The collection also includes records that document the work of the Cunard Steamship Society, largely in the form of photographs and news articles covering events that the society was involved in, printed material produced by other shipping lines and publications relating to maritime history.
