Biographical/Administrative Information:

Arthur G Morgan, entered the University of Liverpool in Oct 1928 with an Entrance Scholarship (John Patterson Scholarship) which he held for three sessions. He passed the final BSc examination in the first class in Jun 1930; in Jul 1931 he graduated BSc Hons in Physics and in Jul 1932 BSc Hons in Mathematics. He was awarded the Diploma in Education in Jul 1933. In 1931-1932 he held a City Fund (City of Liverpool) Scholarship and in 1932-1933 an Education Studentship. On leaving University he entered the teaching profession and following service in the REME (in which he reached the rank of Major) he served on the teaching staff of the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst from 1947 for 25 years until his retirement in 1973.

Mr Morgan's wife, Mrs Mary C. Morgan (nee Bolland) also studies Mathematics and Physics at the University graduating B.Sc in July 1931
