| Biographical/Administrative Information: | Dr G A Garton, BSc Hons Biochemistry 1946, PhD 1949, DSc 1959, FRS During the Session 1949-50 he held the Johnston Colonial University Fellowship in Biochemistry at Liverpool, the Fellowship being a whole-time research appointment but including some teaching. He has been Deputy Director since 1968 and Head of the Lipid Biochemistry Department since 1963 at the Rowett Research Institute, Bucksburn, Aberdeen. He became a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1978. |
