Custodial History:Mr Hedges found these notebooks in the Department of Civil Engineering. he believes they were sent to Professor Patrick Holmes (formerly of the department) but he does not know by whom.
Biographical/Administrative Information:The name of H T Byford does not appear in the list of graduates of the Victoria University and the University of Liverpool. The University College, Liverpool Day Student Address Books for 1901-1902 and 1902-1903 record a Henry Talbot Byford, Blundellsands, as having been a pupil at Waterloo High School and as currently studying Electrical Engineering I (1901-1902) and II (1902-1903) and as "UCL" [? studying for entry to University College, London].
