| Biographical/Administrative Information: | L B Bailey (1906-1976) was on the staff of St Francis Xavier's college, Liverpool 1929-1971; Secretary of the University Catholic Societies, Federation of Great Britain for 3 years [? mid 1930s]; director of Studies, Catholic Action College, Liverpool 1938-1939; Education Officer RAF 1943-1946. He received the Papal Award for "Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice" 1970 The Liverpool University Society replaced the Old Students Association. The Society was wound up in 1967. |
