Biographical/Administrative Information:

Very little can be discovered concerning Philip Henry Hope. The evidence presented shows that he was an autograph collector and the surviving envelopes show that he lived in various locations upon the Wirral. He is listed in Kelly's Directory of Liverpool for 1931 as living in Oxton, Wirral but is not listed in the 1939 volume, presumably he died at some point between these dates. His occupation is unknown though he must of been of some importance as he was able to donate materials to the foundation of the Liverpool Museum (seeĀ Hope I.167).
