| Biographical/Administrative Information: | Ivor Evans (1886-1957) was a Gypsy Lore Society member from 1927. Evans was an ethnologist who lived for many years in Malaya and North Borneo and was the author of The religion of the Tempusak Dunsuns (Cambridge University Press, 1953). Evans was also the author of many articles for the Society's Journal, particularly on George Borrow (1803-1881) and on English Romanichal Gypsies. |
