SMGC Shaw P1-289 and SMGC Shaw PA2-40 were listed by Dorothy Blair in January 1950, additional details, and details of missing items are taken from that list; SMGC Shaw PB1-6 originally from a box marked 'W. Ferguson personal'; SMGC Shaw PC originally from a box marked 'Negative of portrait of William Ferguson for J.[ournal of the] G.[ypsy] L.[ore] S.[ociety]'; SMGC Shaw PD; SMGC Shaw PE. Some negatives are noted as missing and not all sequences are complete. Almost all negatives have contemporary dated and localized captions describing the subject written by Shaw.
