Biographical/Administrative Information:Professor J M Mackay, Rathbone Professor of History 1884-1914; died 1931Professor J A Twemlow, 1868/9-1954, Lecturer later Associate Professor of Palaeography and Diplomatics 1908-1934It is understood from a conversation with Emeritus Professor H.W. Fairman (Egyptology, 1948-74) that these papers were in the Archaeology School for a number of years. The Archaeology School was originally housed in Bedford Street where the History School was also situated for some time.
