Rim is inscribed 1928. Thomas Norman Arthur Jeffcoate. On the obverse is a profile portrait of Alfedo Antunes Kanthack 1863-1898 Pathologist, Student of University Coll. Liverpool and the signature of C.J. Allen (who helped design this medal), and on the reverse is depicted an allegorical figure and the signature of J.H. McNair (who helped design this medal).
