Biographical/Administrative Information:

Dr Agnes Crawford was born in 1909. After teaching commerce in Scotland, she studied Psychology at University College London from 1941 and was awarded a first class BA in 1945. She went on to complete in 1950 a PhD at UCL on the subject of Some Aspects of Colour Blindness under the supervision of Professor Sir Cyril Burt.

Miss Agnes Crawford joined the staff of the University of Liverpool as Temporary Lecturer in Psychology in October 1946. Dr Crawford retired, as a Senior Lecturer in Psychology, in September 1975. She died on 27 October 2000. An obituary of Dr Crawford, written by Emeritus Professor Dennis Bromley, was published in The Psychologist, volume 14, number 2 February 2001, p.66.
