Biographical/Administrative Information:Professor S. G. Checkland, FBA, FRSE, Assistant Lecturer, later Lecturer, later Senior Lecturer in Economic Science, 1946-1953 Professor Checkland died on 22 March 1986 and an obituary was published in The Times, 27 March 1986.
