| Biographical/Administrative Information: | Professor Henry Briggs was Chair of Midwifery and Gynaecology between 1898-1921. He is thought to have donated £5000 from his own pocket towards the Museum of Midwifery and Gynaeocology which was at that time considered to be an essential teaching device. |
