Biographical/Administrative Information:Professor Sir Patrick Abercrombie was an Assistant Lecturer and later Lecturer in Architecture 1907-1915 then Lever Professor of Civic Design 1915-1935 at the University of Liverpool. By the time of his death in 1957 he had become, in the words of Professor Dix "the world's most foremost prophet and practitioner of town and country planning"
