Custodial History:These notes were left in the Department of Geography by Professor R. Steel (John Rankin Professor of Geography 1957-1974) upon his resignation in 1974. Miss Round ascertained that the notes were written by Mr John Edmund Allinson (B.A. 1914), who at the time of deposit in January 1981 was still alive
