Biographical/Administrative Information:The Wellcome Trust made a grant available to Professor K M F Morle, Dr Pat Starkey and Mr A R Allan in order to undertake the project the History of nursing in an English urban region from 1919, based on establishing an oral archive. Mrs Frances Trees, who had undertaken a pilot project on behalf of the History of Nursing Working Party, was employed from 1993 as a Research Associate in order to undertake the creation of this oral history archive.
