Biographical/Administrative Information:The new electrotechnics laboratory opened in Brownlow Hill, Liverpool in 1940. It replaced the laboratory in Brownlow Street which had opened in 1905. Professor E W Marchant was Chair of Electrical Engineering between 1903-1941.
